Morning Prayer Group
Tuesday, 10:00 – 11:30 am in the ChapelSenior Pastor Bill Pfohl leads this ongoing Bible study through books of the Bible. Spiritual Growth Group continues with the Sermon on the Mount: The greatest sermon ever preached in contained in the gospel of Matthew. In the month of September we will continue our exploration of the words and wisdom of the Son of God. No study preparation required.
Beginning in October we will offer an adult faith formation class. This class will mirror the material that is presented to the youth seeking confirmation this year.
The Christian faith can be rightly celebrated as deeply personal and private, but it is also certainly more than an individuals experience. Over the course of 24 weeks those who participate in a newly created faith formation program will have the opportunity to explore the content and convictions of “The Christian Faith” and discerned by the church over the centuries. This class will be expressed to 8th graders in the confirmation program and also tailored to adults and older youth. Some of the topics include:Who am I, and is there a point? What Grace and why is it amazing?Who is Jesus, and how do we know that he is the Messiah and Son of God?What about other faiths: Commonality and differences with the other great religions of the world. What must I do as a Christian, and what is optional? Is Jesus really coming back, and if so what do I do in the mean time.

Be a part of a growing circle that has found a powerful and influential way to begin the week by joining together in prayer for our church, community, nation and world.First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions and thanksgivings be made for everyone, 2 for kings and all who are in high positions, so that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and dignity. 3 This is right and is acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, 4 who desires everyone to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. 1 Timothy 2:1-4Day / Time: 8:00-8:55am, Monday morningsLocation: Chapel Contact: Harriet Yamashita,
