Mission Statement

Consistent with the mission of the United Methodist Church which seeks to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world:

Jesse Lee Memorial United Methodist Church seeks to make and nurture disciples of Jesus Christ through sharing God’s love and to be a Christ centered community that facilitates all people living in joyful relationship to God, themselves, and others.  We welcome all people regardless of similarities and differences including, but not limited to race, ethnicity, faith history, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status and ability… all who desire a closer relationship with Christ.

We believe the following Core Values are central to this congregation and the fulfillment of our mission:

Caring – Manifesting the love of Jesus Christ for all people regardless of circumstances by offering physical, emotional, and spiritual nurture in both crisis and non-crisis times.

Learning – Nurturing Christian Leaders who are faithful witnesses to, and stewards of, God’s Kingdom by providing environments for people to abide in the faith and grace of God through Jesus Christ.

Celebration – Creating worship environments where individuals can connect in the adoration and praise of God and experience the joy of communion with God through Jesus Christ.

Sharing – Loving our neighbors as we seek to relieve suffering locally and globally by following the example of Jesus Christ in serving others.

Witness – Introducing people to Jesus Christ, the Son of God, in loving ways by living and sharing our faith
